XXX-AIS

Elektrisch Varen Foundation came up with a solution for the communication with network members and has therefor introduced the name XXX-AIS.
The objective is that all members can communicate free of charge and without mobile gsm-data with this wireless network. The communication goes via the battery pack console and via the battery charge- and swap-stations, where registration takes place, as well. All members that have inscribed on the website and who have one or multiple battery consoles mounted to their boat can check-in and check-out through these stations wirelessly to hand in or release battery packs. Registration takes place handsfree via the console on board. During this registration data is exchanged about tracks a battery pack went through or e.g. also how much energy has been spent for this. This is vital logistic information to keep enough battery packs available for everyone, and for a sensible distribution of battery charge- and swap-stations during the expansion of the infrastructure. By means of gps and mobile gsm-data members can follow each other. But this option can also be switched off by the members with an app.
With this app information about traffic flow, the different charge- and swap-stations and the availability of full battery packs there can be shared. Only a battery pack which is not locked t0 a charge- and swap-station shall always be traceable by gps.
