Power shortage for the Dutch Railways

The Dutch Railways often suffer from power shortage. For the racing circuit in Zandvoort, where the Formule 1 will take place in 2020, about 300’000 visitors are expected. To avoid a traffic collapse the Dutch Railways must march in with additional trains. See dutch article: https://www.energienieuws.info/2019/08/prorail-tekort-aan-stroom-op-het-spoor.html
The overhead cables of ProRail are not able to provide the current for these additional trains. Apparently priority applies to the electric bolides on the road. Quiz question: what consumes more energy? Additional trains of the Dutch Railways or 100’000 electric vehicles to transport 300’000 travellers to Zandvoort?

The Bay of San Francisco

The San Francisco Bay is in many ways comparable with the delta region of the Netherlands. The surroundings of the northern and the southern Bay, the San Pablo Bay, the Suisun Bay and the river delta are densely populated and there is a lot of agriculture. Nature gets into difficulties from all sides by civilisation, and the challenges for a cleaner environment are huge.
The bay is sheltered by the narrow opening of the Golden Gate. At the same time this opening lets pass through the tides of the Pacific Ocean. Many boats for pleasure cruise are suitable to sail on wide waters. But there are many small boats as well, sailing in the on average shallow bay.
